Hyatt House Sandy / Salt Lake City – West Coast Spring Roadtrip

Initially I had planned to do some snowboarding at Snowbird since I was passing by Salt Lake City again but I decided to press on towards Wyoming instead as I was a bit tired from the long drive between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. The drive was not that interesting since it was just a plain interstate and maybe I was also getting tired of the driving. Fortunately, I had a good place to crash for the night. Salt Lake City was chosen again as a stopover point as I had been here before and I had dinner again … Continue reading Hyatt House Sandy / Salt Lake City – West Coast Spring Roadtrip

Hyatt Carmel Highlands at Big Sur – West Coast Spring Roadtrip

The Hyatt Carmel Highlands overlooking Big Sur is perhaps one of the most alluring Hyatt resorts in North America. Since I would be driving along the Pacific Coast Highway, I made it a point to stay at the resort on the Cash + Points rate. As a category 6 resort, the rate was $150 + 12,500 points per night and it also meant I could use the Suite upgrade which confirmed me into an Ocean View Townhouse Spa Suite. Daily rates were usually around $399 for low and shoulder season though it can run up to $700+ for peak summer … Continue reading Hyatt Carmel Highlands at Big Sur – West Coast Spring Roadtrip

It was definitely a good price since it is close to the cost of the Holiday Inn at Medford. The only thing to note though is that the Hyatt is not in Sonoma but more located in the town of Santa Rosa, close to the Highway 101 that cuts through Northern California. Since we … Continue reading Hyatt Vineyard Creek – West Coast Spring Roadtrip

Hyatt at Olive 8 – A Review of Hotels in downtown Seattle

The 3rd hotel in Seattle I will review is the Hyatt at Olive 8. This is probably Hyatt’s newest property in Seattle and located just a block away from the Grand Hyatt Seattle within a modern skyscraper that houses the Olive 8 condominium at the upper half. And being branded just ‘Hyatt’, the hotel goes for a contemporary boutique hotel feel in the design. First impressions of the hotel is impressive with a private porch for guests arriving by car. The blue hues of its exterior also creates a ‘cool’ entryway for pedestrians. Entering via the main door, a grand … Continue reading Hyatt at Olive 8 – A Review of Hotels in downtown Seattle
